Holly
Wood
Holly does grow into large trees. It is the whitest of woods and is usually used in furniture
making for inlays and decoration such as contrast with primary woods. It is hard, heavy and
strong. It turns well and takes a nice finish. These particular holly bowls came from pieces
of wood that my nephew sent me last year from Maryland.
